„Spacial Practice of Daily Use“
2013
installative Performance
Duration: 15 - 60 min
3 expedition tents
In this performance, I explore Henri Lefèbvre’s spatial theories through a monumental object made of three expedition tents. By means of a playful, physical approach, I translate abstract notions such as the “perceived”, “conceived” and “lived” space into an immediate, tangible experience. Rolling, dancing and interacting with the object, I create shifting constellations between inside and outside, between stage and audience. The spectators become part of this process, as their spatial boundaries are momentarily contracted, expanded, or redefined. In this way, spatial theory turns into a physical exercise that renders the interweaving of space and time perceptible. The work constitutes a performative appropriation of complex spatial relations – fleeting, paradoxical, and always situated in the moment.
