„Sheltering shared Spaces and Moments in Friction“

2015

‚Living Sculpture‘, Performance
twenty sleeping bags, twenty participants
Duration: 3h

Tart Gallery, Zürich

A living sculpture lasting three hours with twenty participants in twenty sleeping bags. A staged arrangement within the theme of space, the emergence and friction of social, haptic and temporal spaces. Acting and interacting as a group within social spaces, as well as exploring the possibilities and limits as a subject within and between these constantly opening and closing spaces. Asserting oneself and at the same time communicating needs within these opening and closing boundaries. Language as an indispensable means of communication and exchange, as a bridge of solidarity within and between all these spaces.

The participants were instructed to interact with each other for three hours while wearing sleeping bags, which could also be worn as coats. The sleeping bags were connected to each other by stretchy bands.
